About The Position

The Nursing Professional Development Practitioner II uses tools, theories, skills and knowledge of nursing professional development (NPD) to improve the practice of staff. The NPD Practitioner functions in the roles of change agent, mentor, facilitator of learning, leader, champion of scientific inquiry, partner for practice transitions, and advocate for the NPD specialty. (BLS Instructor, Pediatric Adv. Life Support and Nursing Prof. Development-BC required within 12 months of date of hire.)

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Required
  • PA Registered Nurse License Required
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Required
  • 5 years Acute Care RN Experience Required
  • BLS Instructor Status Within 1 year Required
  • Pediatric Adv. Life Support Within 1 year Required
  • Nursing Prof Development-BC Within 1 year Required

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree Science in Nursing Preferred
  • 2 years Education/Management experience Preferred
