Nursing Student Intern - Summer 2026
About The Position
The Nursing Student Intern works under the direct supervision of a Registered Nurse and provides fundamental nursing care while developing confidence and competence in clinical skills to support a smooth transition into the Registered Nurse role after graduation. The position participates in the nursing process to deliver direct patient care and ensures safe, effective practices for assigned patients. Additionally, the Nursing Student Intern serves as a positive role model by fostering a supportive work environment, promoting high quality patient care, and adhering to all policies and procedures of Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center. The starting hourly rate for this position is $18.70.
Requirements
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Matriculation with at least one (1) year in an approved Nursing degree program and completion of two (2) semesters of clinical experience.
- NOTE: Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited school, college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Nice To Haves
- The ideal candidate must be currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program with an anticipated graduation date between May 2027 and December 2027.
