Job Summary:
Oversees clinical coordination of the Outpatient Surgery department personally and through the Outpatient Surgery Charge Nurses. Relates effectively with other shifts and departments for continuity of care; participates in education, maintenance of records, and upgrading of policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred or obtain within two years of taking position
• Current RN license in the state of Kentucky
• BLS certification required
• Experience and expertise required in all areas of Perioperative Nursing: Surgery, Post Anesthesia care, and Ambulatory Surgery
• Computer literacy required
• Strong time management, organizational and communication skills
• Ability to direct peers and other OR(Operating Room) personnel
• Ability to function in a high stress environment, function independently, set priorities and adapt to constant change

Nice To Haves

• ACLS preferred
• Certified Nurse Operating Room(CNOR) preferred
