We are seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial Nutraceutical Ingredients Sales Manager to build and grow our business across California and Utah. More information can be found on https://www.expanscience-ingredients.com/ Position Summary Join us as we launch and develop a new line of natural nutraceutical ingredients targeted to the dietary supplements industry in your territory. You will be responsible for building and growing the nutraceutical client portfolio and associated sales, actively promoting our ingredients through customer meetings, calls, and industry trade shows. You will work closely with our local U.S. team based in New York City, and occasionally with the French headquarters team.

Requirements

  • 3–5+ years of B2B sales experience within the nutraceutical or dietary supplement industry
  • Ability to travel frequently within California and Utah
  • Technical profile strongly preferred: Background in biology, nutrition, biochemistry, or related scientific field
  • Strong understanding of ingredient positioning, physiological targets, and mechanisms of action
  • You must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.; the company is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa for this role.

Nice To Haves

  • Strong preference for experience selling active ingredients or specialty raw materials to supplement manufacturers, brand owners, or contract manufacturers
  • Demonstrated network within U.S. dietary supplement companies, particularly in the Western region, is highly preferred
  • Solid understanding of the dietary supplement market and its key players

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a territory growth strategy across California and Utah
  • Identify and generate new business opportunities within dietary supplement manufacturers, brand owners, and CMOs
  • Build and manage a robust pipeline to achieve revenue targets
  • Lead commercial negotiations and pricing discussions
  • Establish long-term partnerships with key accounts
  • Conduct regular in-person customer visits
  • Represent Laboratoires Expanscience at major industry trade shows and networking events
  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers and coordinate internally to ensure smooth project follow-up
  • Develop strong expertise in our portfolio of natural active ingredients and their scientific positioning
  • Effectively communicate mechanisms of action, clinical positioning, and value propositions
  • Understand structure/function claims and U.S. regulatory considerations (DSHEA)
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and emerging opportunities
  • Maintain accurate CRM reporting
  • Prepare sales forecasts and budgets
  • Provide regular territory updates to management
