The Nutrition and Culinary Manager is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of nutrition and culinary services, food budget, performance management, staffing, training, and development of the nutrition and culinary team at their assigned location.

Requirements

  • Leadership experience preferred.
  • Food service experience preferred.
  • Commission on Dietetic Registration-Registered Dietitian required.
  • Licensed Dietitian in the state of employment required, if applicable
  • (applicable at all locations) flex schedule to meet coverage needs.
  • 3 or more years’ experience as a Registered Dietitian in an eating disorder care setting (outpatient/private practice, residential, etc.) required.
  • Clear and accurate understanding of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics: Revised 2020 Standards of Practice and Standards of Professional Performance for Registered Dietitian Nutritionists in Eating Disorders.
  • Self-motivated, analytical, detail-orientated, enthusiastic, respectful, and critical thinking leadership skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at once while working in a fast-paced environment and behaving calmly in stressful situations.
  • Ability to professionally, clearly, accurately, compassionately, and concisely communicate.
  • Collaborates with and effectively contributes to the multidisciplinary team (treatment, nutrition & culinary, site, etc.)
  • Meets deadlines for documentation, projects, and other assignments.

Nice To Haves

  • > 6 months as a Nutrition Lead or equivalency preferred.
  • May hold (or working toward) a specialty and/or eating disorder complimentary certification (excludes food safety certifications).
  • Examples of such certifications may include Certified Eating Disorder Specialist/Supervisor, Board Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist, Board Certified Specialist in Sports Nutrition, Board Certified Nutrition Support Dietitian, Board Certified Specialist in Pediatric Nutrition

Responsibilities

  • Oversees the accurate and appropriate delivery of evidence-based, corporate, and industry best-practice nutrition and culinary services at assigned location.
  • Promotes client adequate nutrition state and eating competency.
  • Ensures fidelity to corporate standards of care, policies and procedures, and external regulations.
  • Participates as a member of site leadership (at assigned locations) and corporate nutrition leadership teams.
  • Collaborates with key stakeholders in the identification, development, implementation, and/or evaluation of initiatives, policies, and procedures, as assigned/requested.
  • Manages and adheres to the site food budget, where applicable.
  • Manages hiring, and training of nutrition and culinary team members (delegates to Nutrition Lead or Culinary Supervisor, as appropriate).
  • Supervises nutrition and culinary team members (delegates to Nutrition Lead or Culinary Supervisor, as appropriate)
  • Facilitates and attends regularly scheduled meetings as assigned.
  • Maintains up-to-date nutrition therapy knowledge and skills of advancements in eating disorders care.
  • Maintains at all times the confidentiality of former and current Accanto clients’ protected health information, as directed by state and federal law, and Accanto policy. Additionally, maintains confidentiality in any position with access to employee personal information.
  • Maintains the confidentiality of proprietary information, which includes but is not limited to, trade secrets, sensitive company information, and generally any company information not made available to the public.
