About The Position

The Nutritional Services Manager provides leadership, planning, and guidance to supervisors to ensure the effective operation of the department. This role continuously seeks opportunities to improve departmental performance and exceed customer expectations. Additionally, the manager coordinates services to achieve established goals and enhance overall efficiency.

Requirements

  • BA or BS Degree in related field.
  • Three years previous food management with leadership abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to supervise and gain the cooperation of all employees while exhibiting initiative and sound judgment.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a complex, multi-entity health system.
  • Skilled in project management, working under pressure, meeting deadlines, and managing multiple priorities.
  • Adept at fostering teamwork through effective role modeling.
  • Familiar with NYSDOH and other food service regulations.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal, communication (both written and oral), analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Capable of dealing effectively with the public in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in word processing, spreadsheets, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • Diet Tech or Dietitian degree
  • Hospital/health care setting experience; Diet Tech or Dietitian experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
