About The Position

Nuuly is seeking a Lead Analyst to join the Business Analytics team. Nuuly’s clothing rental model relies on seamless coordination between fashion, technology, and operations. We continuously innovate how customers and inventory move across a multi-node fulfillment network to deliver the best possible customer experience. The Business Analytics team partners closely with cross-functional partners to support strategy across supply chain & logistics, buying & planning, customer success, and product management. We take on complex questions that go beyond what dashboards can answer; providing data-driven insights to inform decisions across all functions of the business. Who You Are You are a proactive, strategic thinker who identifies new opportunities. You are able to take on ambiguous, complex problems and define analytical approaches. You connect the dots between data and strategy, and prioritize analyses that drive meaningful business impact. You are an excellent communicator and synthesizer of information for both technical audiences and business stakeholders. You have deep, expert-level knowledge of SQL, including query structure, readability, performance, and QA. You set standards and elevate the team’s analytical rigor.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline.
  • 6+ years of experience in analytics or quantitative roles, with demonstrated progression in scope and ownership.
  • Excellent SQL & Python skills
  • Excellent data visualization skills including use of tools such as Looker
  • Experience with dbt
  • Strong statistical aptitude
  • Practical experience using Large Language Models (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) for work tasks.
  • Understanding of prompt engineering and how to provide effective context to AI tools.
  • Familiarity with structured AI guidance methods (system prompts, rules files, agent configurations).
  • Knowledge of AI tool integration concepts (MCP, connectors, agentic workflows).
  • Ability to identify opportunities where AI can drive efficiency improvements.
  • Interest in logistics, shipping, inventory, and customer analytics

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in supply chain & logistics, retail, fashion, or subscription services is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Understand & analyze data via Google BigQuery (SQL), Python, and Looker.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to understand the intent behind business questions and translate them into thoughtful analytics solutions.
  • Own end-to-end delivery of high quality, well documented analyses with minimal oversight - including identifying & scoping opportunities, defining metrics & approaches, and soliciting stakeholder feedback.
  • Projects range in scope from clearly defined business questions, to ambiguous, open-ended problems.
  • Deliver data-driven insights to guide product strategy and evaluate feature performance.
  • Contribute to building scalable analytical processes, tools, & set best practices across the team.
