About The Position

Position Summary Provides supervision of OA/CTS staff in remote locations and assists in planning departmental activities to meet outreach, recruitment, arrivals, commitment, and other established contract goals. Conducts outreach activities to garner referrals and placement partnerships and to promote a positive program image. Essential Functions Supervise the Outreach and Admissions staff. Collaborate with CPP, Career Development, Health & Wellness, and Records staff to ensure that student arrival outcomes are achieved. Assist with student retention by providing support, supervision, behavior modification, counseling, and by acting as a positive role model and mentor. Adhere to all PRH and Company policies and procedures. Provide quality assurance for and approve all applicant files submitted by OA staff. Manage the determination of applicants’ eligibility to participate in Job Corps based on eligibility guidelines established by the Department of Labor. Ensure- each applicant is provided with realistic and accurate information regarding the Job Corps program including the enrollment process, center life, behavioral expectations, career technical training offerings, services, disability and reasonable accommodations, equal employment opportunity, and program requirements. Assign prospects to OA staff caseloads through OASIS application. Create and maintain an Outreach calendar including all events and activities attended to recruit new students into the program. Oversee a weekly tour of the center and ensure that all interested individuals receive tours and information as needed or requested. Visits, monitors, supervises, and provides support to remote OA office locations and Job Corps staff at local workforce centers. Supervise assigned CTS staff and provide training and support to meet placement goals. Provides on-call center support as warranted. Conduct quality assurance activities to ensure the data integrity of all reported placements prior to entry into government information systems. Provide and monitor job development quotas to ensure a continuous pipeline of employer partnerships. Participate on community relations and workforce councils to promote positive relations and increase student opportunities. Lead council meetings as needed. May utilize GSA vehicles to transport students to off-site learning and employment opportunities, appointments, and as needed for retrievals and other center-related needs. Promote a harassment-free environment. Utilize information systems and handle student data in strict adherence to Job Corps and Strategixpolicies to protect student’s personally identifiable information (PII) and reduce network security threats Adhere to and model Strategix servant leadership culture values: Honor Others, Inspire Vision, Choose Integrity, People First, Balance Focus with Flexibility, Serve with Humility, and Innovate and Disrupt. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human services or related field and one year of supervisory experience, or
  • equivalent combination of experience and education.
  • Excellent networking skills and ability to engage in business development.
  • Ability to analyze and report data.
  • Good presentation skills and excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Unless waived by management, a valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record is required.
  • Willingness to provide on-call center support as warranted.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years of supervisory experience; knowledge of community resources.
