About The Position

CMC’s Labor & Delivery/OB Team is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Certified Childbirth Educator to provide evidence-based care and compassionate support to our communities expectant parents and families. This role prepares individuals and families for pregnancy, labor, birth, postpartum recovery, and early parenting while promoting informed decision-making, healthy birth outcomes, and positive family experiences. The Certified Childbirth Educator delivers instruction through engaging environments such as group classes, individual sessions, virtual platforms, and community outreach initiatives; while fostering confidence and inclusive family-centered care. This position will be considered on an as-needed basis, estimating 6-10 hours per month. Nice To Haves

• Willing to train the right candidate!
• Experience teaching childbirth or perinatal education classes
• Background in healthcare, public health, education, nursing, or midwifery
• Experience with virtual or hybrid education platforms
• Knowledge of evidence-based maternity care practices
• Current certification as a Childbirth Educator from a recognized organization (e.g., Lamaze International, ICEA, CAPPA, BirthWorks). If not already certified, CMC is willing to train the right candidates
