About The Position

Responsible for performing patient care, patient service activities, procedures, clerical duties and assigned duties under the supervision of licensed nursing staff

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Graduate of approved Operating Room Technical School or one (1) year of on-the-job experience in a major operating room.
• One (1) year ORT job experience in major operating room may replace OR Technical School requirement.
• Current Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) from National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or per NRS 449.2185, sec. 1.(c) "Engaged in the practice of surgical technology in a health care facility before January 1, 2018".
• Current BLS Certification.
• Must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide service appropriate to the age of the patients served on the assigned unit/department.
• Note Employees hired after January 1, 2018 into this position without CST must receive approval from the Market Human Resource Director.
