Requirements

  • Current RN license in the state of North Carolina
  • BLS Certification (current)
  • 3-5 years of nursing experience
  • 2-5 years of occupational health nursing strongly preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) minimum or Associate/Diploma Degree with Bachelor's in a related field such as business or safety.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA, FMLA, Workers' Compensation, ADA, and EEOC regulations
  • Familiarity with ergonomics, industrial hygiene, toxicology, and epidemiology
  • Comfortable interacting with and presenting to senior client management teams
  • Ability to manage ambiguity, make sound decisions with incomplete information, and handle competing priorities
  • Political savvy - ability to navigate complex inter-organizational dynamics effectively
  • Strong emotional intelligence: self-awareness, empathy, self-regulation, and motivation
  • Ability to organize, plan independently, and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Occupational Health Nursing (COHN or COHN-S)
  • Certification in Hearing Conservation and/or Spirometry/Pulmonary Function Testing
  • 5+ years of occupational health experience for manager-level consideration
