Requirements

  • Certification in Occupational Therapy
  • Valid Texas state license to practice Occupational Therapy
  • Basic Physical Requirements
  • Maintain various postures (kneeling, sitting, standing, squatting) for extended periods
  • Walk and run for extended periods as needed
  • Transition independently between sitting and standing
  • Perform quick body movements as required by behavior intervention plans
  • Lift a minimum of 25 pounds
  • Transfer, position, and transport patients and adaptive equipment
  • Read and interpret written communication via computer, electronic devices, and paper
  • Demonstrate manual dexterity for electronic documentation and data collection

Nice To Haves

  • Pediatric experience preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Assess, develop, and implement occupational therapy treatment plans with measurable goals
  • Engage patients using fun, age-appropriate activities and therapeutic interventions
  • Maintain accurate documentation of treatment progress
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure high-quality, coordinated care
  • Communicate effectively with families regarding progress and strategies for home support
