POSITION SUMMARY Responsible the ensuring the delivery of outstanding occupational therapy service including evidence-based patient care and patient engagement on an individual level and departmentally. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES - ESSENTIAL: TREATMENT This list of tasks is illustrative only and is not a comprehensive listing of all functions and tasks performed by position. Performs clinic care and occupational therapist duties in accordance with the needs of the clinic and patients. Promotes and has knowledge of and utilizes appropriate patient care protocol relating to the physical, cognitive, neurologic, psychosocial, and functional needs of ANR’s patient population. Establishes occupational therapy interventions based upon the evaluation and examination, physician orders, and patient’s goals for therapy. Competently performs appropriate occupational therapy techniques and procedures. Provides for continuity of patient care through written and verbal communication with other health care professionals. Makes recommendations for needed patient care equipment prior to patient discharge and assists with acquisition of same as appropriate. Documents findings, patient progress, and all procedures performed within established time frames. Submits all patient billing at the end of each day. Instructs patients/family members in home programs. Demonstrates effective time management. Complies with quality improvement standards. LEADERSHIP RESPONSIBILITIES Models company values and performance standard. Assists Clinic Manager with the onboarding, training, and development of staff physical therapists. Collect and report key performance data monthly to Clinic Manager. Contributes to the development of new service lines and business initiatives. Meets regularly with Clinic Director to discuss the performance of individual staff members or the professional development of the department. Manages conflict within the department. Promotes greater staff engagement through recognition programs and clinical mentoring.

Requirements

  • Graduation from an approved school of occupational therapy
  • Current occupational therapy license in the state in which they practice
  • Current CPR certification
