About The Position

GiaCare Inc. is now accepting applications for experienced, civilian Occupation Therapy Assistants (OTA) to work alongside the federal government at Naval Station - Pensacola Hospital (Pensacola, Florida).

Requirements

Degree/Education:

Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) Heart Saver (HS) certification using American Heart Association (preferred)

Certified through the National Board of Certified Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).

Experience: Three (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years as an Occupational Therapist Assistant.

Must have previous experience in the treatment of traumatic brain injury.

Requirements

• Associate Degree for Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Heart Saver (HS) certification using American Heart Association (preferred)
• Certified through the National Board of Certified Occupational Therapy (NBCOT).
• Three (3) years of experience within the last five (5) years as an Occupational Therapist Assistant.
• Must have previous experience in the treatment of traumatic brain injury.
• Unrestricted license to practice as an Occupational Therapy Assistant.

Responsibilities

• Provide a full range of Occupational Therapy Assistant services.
• Use assessment tools, intervention techniques and treatment modalities under the Plan of Care (POC) of a credentialed provider.
• Use complex/multi-step instructions with patients, caregivers, and other health care professionals and adapt those instructions according to the learning styles of the trainees or individuals receiving the instructions
