This Position reports to: Instrumentation Sales Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for the sales of products/systems/services within a designated market/division, in line with the division strategy. Each day, you will achieve both qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will also showcase your expertise by identifying and developing new sales opportunities. The work model for the role is: Remote with up to 30% Travel Requirement. This role is aggressively pursuing and growing sales of positioners and actuators for the Industry Automation Division in the US.

Requirements

  • Good time / activity and priority management skills.
  • 7+ years' experience in measurement and analytical Industry.
  • Leverage existing relationships in the industry to bring new selling opportunities to ABB.
  • Intense competitor knowledge; Passion for selling and winning.
  • Ability to develop and implement structured sales processes and strategies that improve efficiency and lead to winning team.
  • Obsessive focus on end users, their wants and needs, their goals and objectives, how they buy, how they maintain their equipment, how they partner with suppliers.
  • Ability to develop relationships at all levels in ABB, our channel partners and our end users (from field personnel to corner office).
  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% of the time depending on home location and customer targets and project / EPC offices for main targeted areas.
  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the key business drivers relevant to the targeted customer's business and business environment and interpret the impact and opportunity for ABB.
  • Participate in the development of sales strategies for the targeted account and project activities.
  • Define and propose sales targets for accounts / large projects and ensure their achievement with a structured follow up process across the Business Line.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the account plans to include designing the executive relationship strategy and coverage plans, prioritizing the opportunities, identifying a target for analytical portfolio.
  • Establish and develop account relationships based on a defined strategy.
  • Act as focal point for problem resolution and monitor customer claims.
  • Plan, facilitate and conduct customer negotiations.
  • Develop, maintain and share detailed knowledge of the customer's business strategy, purchasing behavior, organization, decision-makers, customer business drivers, economic trends, competition, global opportunities and presence.
  • Sell products/solutions/services to customers, focusing on volume, mix and profitability targets representing all ABB.
  • Monitor competitors' activity with the account and ensure that appropriate response strategies are formulated and implemented.
  • Create added value for the customer and ABB by ensuring a coordinated sales approach.
  • Coordinate the use of internal or external resources in order to provide value added services to the account.
  • Communicate details related to delivery time, payments, and general terms and conditions, in line with ABB's offering and strategy.
  • Ensure efficient marketing activities and communicate value proposition to customers.
  • Identify and drive the development of new market opportunities in the designated market.
  • Manage administrative procedures in sales processes and support cash collection and project management activities, when needed.
