About The Position
Sul Ross State University, a member of NCAA Division II and the Lone Star Conference, invites applications for the position of Assistant Football Coach. This full-time role is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the football program, including on-field coaching, recruiting, academic support, and operations. The successful candidate will contribute to player development, team culture, and program success.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and implantation of practice plans and game strategies.
- Coach a designated position group and contribute to team success on and of the field.
- Participate in scouting, film breakdown, and opponent analysis.
- Recruit prospective student-athletes and promote a culture of accountability.
- Support travel planning, equipment management, and camp operations as assigned.
- Represent the football program in community engagement and university functions.
- Ensure compliance with NCAA , Lone Star Conference, and university regulations and policies.
