Women’s Health at Silverside | ChristianaCare Our Services Include: Routine exams and screenings Pap smears STI screenings and treatment Breast exams Menopausal care Basic adolescent gynecology Most major insurances accepted The Medical Office Assistant I key responsibilities include scheduling appointments with consideration of insurance details, greeting patients professionally to collect demographic and financial information, and processing referral information while maintaining patient confidentiality. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday from 8am to 4:30pm May be times when required to cover other practices.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED required.

  • Experience in a medical office setting is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • collect payments according to insurance guidelines
  • verify coverage
  • coordinate referrals
  • perform daily reconciliation of appointments and payments
  • answering phone calls professionally
  • relaying messages accurately
  • utilizing EMR to communicate with providers and staff
  • ensures timely updates to patients on issues until resolved
  • facilitates necessary testing and appointments
  • prepares medical records by scanning and indexing reports into patient charts
  • researching patient issues and providing timely responses
  • assisting with administrative tasks such as copying and faxing
  • adhering to safety protocols while reporting any unsafe conditions
  • Additional duties may be assigned as required.
