Salary (Non negotiable) (based on verifiable full time related experience) $32,032 - $43,425 Pay Grade 6 Employee Benefits Salary Scale Hours 12 months, 35 hours, 260 days Bargaining Unit: This position is part of the non-supervisory Support Services collective bargaining unit. FLSA: Non-exempt Qualifications High school diploma or GED. At least three (3) years of secretarial experience. Applicable post-secondary training may be accepted in lieu of experience. Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite and other computer software. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. A thorough knowledge of business English, spelling, and punctuation. Proficiency in oral and written communications skills. Exceptional organizational skills. Excellent interpersonal relationship skills. Ability to use public address system and various office machines including fax machines. R esponsibilities Prepare, proofread, and edit correspondence and other documents. Schedule conferences and make room arrangements. Answer telephone, take messages, and answer inquiries within assigned scope of responsibilities. Enter student information (personal information, grades, testing results, deficiency reports, etc.,) into database with a high degree of accuracy. Handle student files as mandated by the State of Maryland. Maintain student discipline data and attendance and generate all related correspondence. Communicate and interact with students, parents, teachers, employers, colleges, and the general public. Perform other duties as assigned.
