About The Position

Staff Position Description Position Title: General Office Clerk Position Code: ClrkGenOff-8115 Department: Patient Financial Services Safety Sensitive: No Reports to: CBO Cash Applications Supervisor Exempt Status: No Qualified candidates must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent and a minimum of one year working in an office environment Position Purpose: All KHI employees are expected to perform their respective tasks and duties in such a way that supports KHI’s vision of providing the region’s best clinical care and patient service through an environment that fosters respect for others and pride in performance. Key Responsibilities [List of material responsibilities and essentials duties which must be completed in achieving the objectives of the position] · Sort and distribute mail to appropriate departments, retaining all insurance checks · Retains mail returns and performs skip trace process · Opens Credit Counselors mail and prepares it for contact · Per the direction of the supervisor- reviews, prices, and prepares payment to physicians according to the Self pay/Consulting agreement · General office tasks to assist the credit counselors on a as needed basis · Processes ad-hoc requests for assistants with projects and other duties efficiently with the end in mind · Other duties as assigned by supervisor Qualifications [Statements regarding minimum educational and experience qualifications, required proficiencies with specialized knowledge, computer proficiencies, military service, required certifications, etc.] Education: High school diploma or equivalent Experience: One (1) year experience in an office setting Special Position Requirements [Optional section: any travel, security, risk, hazard or related special conditions which apply to the position] Exposure Categories: Category III Expected duties do not have potential for exposure to blood, body fluids or tissues Work Requirements [Optional section: work requirements for physical or other important issues which relate to the job] · Regularly needs to bend, stoop and reach to file and organize files · Ability to lift 11 to 25 pounds of files to storage area when necessary · Ability to remain on feet for long periods of time while filing and sorting mail · Ability to deal with clients/customers in a calm and effective manner Date Staff Position Description Created / Revised: 05/2019; 02/17/2020

Requirements
