About The Position

Incumbent is an Office Manager in Belgrade working under the direct supervision of the Operations Director This is a dual position acting as office manager and commercial lines account manager in our Belgrade office.This position requires effective communication skills and a solid understanding of the insurance industry. Must demonstrate leadership skills and demonstrate the ability to educate, mentor, and motivate sales and service staff, increase the satisfaction of customers and referral sources and foster a sales driven company culture; and use their experience in providing guidance and mentorship to staff.

Requirements

  • 3+ years experience in leadership or management (preferred)
  • Strong commercial lines insurance backgroun
  • Active Montana Property & Casualty license (Preferred)
  • Strong working knowledge of commercial insurance products and markets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skillset
  • High Attention to detail and strong organizational habits
  • A team mindset and positive community focused attitude.
  • Ability to travel - approximately 25% travel required.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for personnel administration, ensuring that Agency practices, procedures, and workflows are adhered to by all staff in the Belgrade office.
  • Coordinate the implementation of policy decisions from Director of Operations and Executive Leadership Team.
  • Implement policies and procedures as established by the Board of Directors of Stockman Insurance.
  • Responsible for overall personnel administration, ensuring that practices and procedures are complimentary to the maintenance of employee morale, efficiency and development
  • Representative in community activities and organizations as appropriate.
  • Resource person for both Stockman Bank and Stockman Wealth Management
  • Promote the improvement of Stockman Insurance through quality customer service, promotion of products, professionalism in conduct and diligent work ethic.
  • Effectively handle customer questions and problems.
  • Manage a diverse book of commercial clients.
  • Customer relationship management: Handle renewals, endorsements, certificate of insurance, audits, and policy changes with accuracy and care.
  • Product knowledge: Serve as the trusted point of contact for Stockman clients, building long term relationships through responsiveness and professionalism.
  • Needs Assessment: Assess clients’ insurance needs coordinate with appropriate staff in recommending suitable coverage options.
  • Quoting and pricing: Assist appropriate staff in quoting new business using on-line or manual rating manuals.
  • Sales presentations: Work closely with assigned staff and company underwriters in preparing proposals, negotiating terms, and binding coverages.
  • Maintain up to date records in our agency management system.
