Primary Location: United States (US) - Iowa - Ottumwa Function: Factory Engineering (CA) Title: OFP Weld Manufacturing Engineer - 118620 Onsite/Remote:Onsite Position Your Responsibilities As a OFP Weld Manufacturing Engineer for John Deere Ottumwa Works located in Ottumwa, IA, you will: Support the Order Fulfillment Process (OFP) Plan, coordinate, and perform manufacturing engineering work for a project or process. Operate in a team environment within either the enterprise product delivery process or the enterprise order fulfillment process VISA Sponsorship is NOT available for this position

Requirements

  • Background in Engineering (mechanical, welding, industrial)
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and or distribution processes, quality, tooling, tool design, total preventative maintenance, and facilities
  • Expertise with engineering tools, systems, and databases
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent manufacturing engineering experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with robotic weld systems (Fanuc)
  • Strong familiarity with engineering tools, systems, and databases
  • Project management and business planning expertise
  • Understanding of line and process design, material presentation, cycles of imbalance, and management tools
  • Manufacturing engineering expertise and supporting weld and assembly processes, quality, tooling, tool design, PLCs, robotic systems, facilities
