On Call LPN - Addiction Services
About The Position

In-person service at more than 50 sites throughout Nassau and Suffolk counties is inspired by the Gospel call affirming the sacredness of every human life. CCLI is looking for an On Call Licensed Practical Nurse with a generous heart to work in our Talbot House which is a 24-hour hour residential stabilization center licensed by the New York State Office of Addiction. We are seeking those with a desire to contribute to the well-being of others to carry out our mission on Long Island. Requirements
- HS Diploma/GED
- NYS Licensed Practical Nurse certification
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary treatment team
- Strong listening and communication skills necessary to provide client-centered care
- PC proficiency required. Experience with electronic medical records data entry preferred.
Nice To Haves
- Nursing experience in behavioral healthcare settings a strong plus
Responsibilities
- Monitor, evaluate and care for clients’ condition, ensure compliance with medication procedures, and advise treatment team of any significant changes or treatment issues;
- Interact extensively with clients in various stages of recovery, helping them to acclimate to program activities and procedures;
- Provide general education and support in areas of treatment and health maintenance;
- Collaborate with medical and clinical staff, and liaise with emergency and/or hospital personnel as needed;
- Provide documentation in an electronic medical records system.
