On-Call Registered Nurse (RN)
About The Position
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable On‑Call Registered Nurse (RN) to provide after‑hours clinical support for our patients across Utah County and Salt Lake County . This role ensures timely response to patient needs, supports field clinicians, and upholds our commitment to high‑quality, patient-centered care. The On‑Call RN will manage urgent calls, triage patient concerns, complete needed visits, and coordinate with the clinical team to maintain continuity of care. This position is ideal for an RN who is confident working independently, has strong clinical judgment, and thrives in a flexible, autonomous environment.
Requirements
- Currently licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in state of employment
- Previous experience as a Registered Nurse is preferred
- Excellent interpersonal and client care skills
- Valid driver’s license
- First aid/CPR certification required
Responsibilities
- Provide after‑hours triage and support for patients and families.
- Perform urgent or PRN nursing visits as needed (wound care, symptom management, medication issues, etc.).
- Collaborate with case managers, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members to address patient needs.
- Document all patient interactions accurately and promptly per agency and regulatory standards.
- Participate in handoff communication with daytime clinical staff.
- Respond to calls within required timeframes and maintain professional, compassionate communication.
