About The Position

Join the Montana Chemical Dependency Center ( MCDC ) and make a difference one life at a time. MCDC is the only in-patient chemical dependency treatment center administered by the state. We serve individuals 18 and older who have been diagnosed as having an addiction to drugs or alcohol or who suffer from both addiction and mental disorders. This position is an on call role and does not have standard set hours. Requirements

  • Ability to communicate information both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to make observations and report/ record them accurately.
  • Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Develop constructive and cooperative working relationships with others, maintaining them over time.
  • Ability to operate a personal computer and general Office Equipment as necessary to complete the essential functions including using spreadsheet, word processing, data base, e-mail, and other computer programs.
  • High school diploma or the equivalent
  • Two years of job-related experience working with people in healthcare setting.
  • Must have or willing to obtain prior to hire date a valid CPR/AED/FIRST AID certification card.

Responsibilities

  • Communicates with patients to understand needs and assists with activities of daily living
  • Records patient data such as behavioral observations, vital signs, symptoms, etc.
  • Gathers information for patient admissions and inputs into the system
