About The Position

Onsite Radiologist (Multiple Specialties) Company: Venesco, LLC Client: Department of Veterans Affairs Position Type: Full-Time Contract Schedule: Monday – Friday (with on-call rotation) Position Overview Venesco, LLC is seeking Board Certified Radiologists across multiple subspecialties to provide onsite radiology services for veterans at a VA medical facility. We are hiring for the following specialties: Abdominal / Genitourinary (GU) Breast Imaging Cardiovascular Radiology General Diagnostic Radiology Interventional Radiology Musculoskeletal (MSK) Radiology Neuroradiology Authorized User (AU) Radiology This role requires delivering high-quality, state-of-the-art radiologic care consistent with national standards in a collaborative clinical environment.

Requirements

  • Active, full, and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory
  • No history of license suspension, restriction, or revocation
  • Board Certified in Radiology through the American Board of Radiology
  • Proficiency across radiologic modalities relevant to specialty
  • Strong clinical judgment and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Competency in EMR systems and radiology reporting
  • Ability to meet VA credentialing and privileging requirements
  • Provide documentation of: Education and training history, Certifications and licensure, Clinical competency and experience
  • Adherence to VA Medical Staff Bylaws and facility policies

Responsibilities

  • Perform and interpret a wide range of imaging studies, including: X-ray / Diagnostic Radiology
  • Ultrasound
  • Computed Tomography (CT)
  • Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)
  • Nuclear Medicine
  • Interventional Radiology procedures
  • Provide consultation to referring physicians on appropriate imaging utilization
  • Communicate test results to providers and patients in a timely manner
  • Review consults/orders and next-day cases (minimum 2 hours daily)
  • Perform post-procedure follow-ups and manage complications (IR roles)
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation in accordance with VA standards
  • Participate in Quality Improvement (QI) and Performance Improvement (PI) activities
  • Participate in Peer reviews (~4 hours/month)
  • Participate in Staff and committee meetings
  • Complete QA/QI documentation for procedures and outcomes
  • Maintain compliance with patient safety and infection control standards
  • Report patient safety events within required timelines
  • Provide after-hours coverage Weekdays: 4:30 PM – 8:00 AM
  • Weekends: Friday 4:30 PM – Monday 8:00 AM
  • Respond within 15 minutes by phone
  • Onsite within 60 minutes if required
