About The Position

Sign on Bonus: Up to $10k SOB Based on Eligibility Job Summary: The Operating Room RN is responsible for delivering safe, effective, and compassionate care throughout the perioperative period. This includes pre-op assessment, intraoperative assistance, and post-op evaluation, always keeping the patient and their family at the center of all decisions. Perform continuous assessment and develop individualized perioperative care plans. Prevent surgical errors by adhering to safety protocols, including site verification and accurate surgical counts. Administer medications and manage specimens in accordance with policies. Maintain critical system functions (cardiac, respiratory, neurological) and ensure patient safety during procedures. Promote patient education, engagement, and emotional support before and after surgery. Ensure patient dignity, privacy, and culturally competent care. Accurately document all care activities and communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team. Participate in ongoing performance improvement initiatives. Uphold organizational values and serve as a patient advocate.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of OR experience in acute care
  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Current RN license in the state of practice
  • BLS and ACLS certifications

Nice To Haves

  • Trauma, neuro, spine, ortho, or vascular procedures
  • CNOR certification
  • PALS certification (if applicable)
