More info: www.eqtgroup.com Follow EQT on LinkedIn , X , YouTube and Instagram Job Summary Operations Electrical Lead with “hands-on” experience working on the installation, operation, troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems on seawater reverse osmosis water treatment plants, in addition to daily operations of the plant systems. Daily tasks require the applicant to possess knowledge and ability to perform work on electrical supply, control and instrumentation systems on reverse osmosis desalination plants. A general understanding of either desalination or some comparable water treatment processes will be required. Some familiarity with mechanical, hydraulic and/or chemical systems would be a plus and a willingness to be trained on and to work on these systems will be required. Due to the high demand for the potable water produced, the position requires being on call for periods of time in order to be available to keep the plant running. Sometimes this requires working nights, weekends and holidays. Must have ability to communicate effectively and interact positively with other plant operators, laborers, clients, managers, vendors and design/project engineers of various cultures and capabilities.

Requirements

Experienced in operations and maintenance of water systems
Customer service oriented: plants produce sole source of drinking water for the island
Understanding of drawings including mechanical piping, P&ID’s, electrical and general equipment
Skilled in use of computers, Microsoft Office and Programmable Logic Control programs
Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in the English language/Dutch a plus
Must possess a valid passport and have no criminal history in order to obtain residency/work visa
Must be physically fit to the extent required to work safely in a manufacturing environment as described above
College degree or a combination of trade-school/course-work education and work experience.

Responsibilities

install/rebuild/repair/replace/program controls, motors, drives, solenoids, connections, etc.
All manner of work on supply & control electrical
All manner of work on instrumentation systems and components
install/rebuild/repair/replace pumps, couplings, valves, vessels, piping
cylinders, controls, piping, connections, vessels
batching, dosing, troubleshooting, membrane cleaning/replacement
Make recommendations for system improvements to management
Setup/startup maintenance of electrical systems instrumentation
Start and Stop the operations of the plant
Monitor system through operating logs and data collection, and make adjustments as warranted.
Provide training to the operators to maintain a safe work environment on the job site
Review/recommend/implement Environmental Health and Safety initiatives
Become educated through manufacturer coursework/reading manuals on the process and equipment installation, preventative maintenance, rebuilding, repairing or replacement techniques and then assist in standardization and rollout of maintenance philosophy and techniques to water treatment plant operators
