About The Position

Acron Flight Academy is an accredited flight school located within the Orlando-Sanford International Airport. We provide an excellent and rigorous flight training program for those passionate about flying and wanting to pursue a career as a professional pilot. We have a diverse student body with students from over 30 different countries enrolled in our programs. We are expanding our admissions and operations team and are hoping to find the right candidate to help us meet our department goals and objectives.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required with a minimum of 8 years relevant or 5 years of relevant experience with at least 2 years working in an SOC environment at a FAR Part 135 “floating fleet” utilization model or 2 years post-Secondary/associate's degree with a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience.
  • Experience operating in a high utilization FAA Part 135 operation or equivalent type of fast paced operation.
  • Experience using Flight Schedule Pro or other complex flight operating software programs.

  • Experience with auditing and directing the work of others.
  • Ability to handle multi-tasking, organization, and efficient work to accomplish daily/weekly/monthly objectives of the position and operations department.
  • Experience working in a complex fleet utilization / scheduling model with firm understanding of the impacts of hours, revenue, and cost.

Responsibilities

  • Highly skilled and experienced senior support contributor that has a comprehensive understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations, and the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders at all leadership levels to ensure that fleet utilization is meeting pre-determined targets in order to meet or exceed revenue goals.
  • Work as an integral part of the Operations team to ensure the student/instructor schedules align with the course and lessons that are to be conducted.
  • Operating in a highly regulated environment, the Quality Specialist routinely communicates and contacts within and outside the department on maters that involve complex issues and assignments that drive increased utilization and revenue into the business.
  • Must be able to work independent actions with a high degree of imitative to resolve issues with no supervision.
  • Develop the global networks daily schedule to ensure compliance regarding student/instructor duty time policy and instructor duty time regulations, while driving maximum utilization.
  • Works to achieve operational targets within the job area do drive significant impact of utilization and yield in order to achieve the financial targets of the department.
  • Must act independently to determine methods and procedures on new assignments and often acts as a facilitator and team leader while working on improving the fleet utilization.
  • Must be able to work to achieve operational targets (utilization metrics) to drive significant impact on the overall results of the department.
  • Must be able to act as a facilitator and team leader.
  • Ability to work autonomously and acts a mentor to lower-level peers and provides guidance on tasks that will drive results for the business.
  • Must work indecently with a high degree of initiatives to resolve issues in order to meet the utilization requirements on a global scale.
  • Verify flight crews are following Acron safety policies as outline in Acron Operational Policies.
  • Keep track of flight delays and implement processes to minimize cancellations.
  • Keep Manager informed of any incidents involving academy personnel or aircraft.
  • Balance training resources across multiple locations to maximize asset utilization and performance to drive revenue.
  • Leverage team to produce schedules that maximize most favorable flying opportunities to maximize training revenue on a daily and weekly basis.
  • Establish easily understood metrics that equate to meeting or exceeding department revenue targets.
  • Ensure daily schedule is within compliance regarding student/instructor duty time policy and instructor duty time regulations.
  • Ensure proper invoicing at the end of a flight.
  • Coordinate with Manager to challenge status quo to uncover inefficiencies which will drive future revenue opportunist.
  • Follow Acron safety policies as outline in Acron Operational Policies.
  • Provide visibility into flight delays and implement processes to minimize cancellations and maximize asset utilization.
