The Office of Enrollment Management Communications at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville (UTK) invites applications and nominations for our Operations & Retention Communications Coordinator position. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience. Multiple positions available. This is an on-campus position with some hybrid/remote work schedule flexibility. The Operations & Retention Communications Coordinator reports to the Assistant Director of Enrollment Operations & Retention Communications and serves as a key communications liaison for the University Registrar, University Bursar, Office of Financial Aid & Scholarships, Center for Financial Wellness, and One Stop Student Services. The coordinator translates complex academic, billing, and financial aid information into clear, student-focused messaging across email, SMS, web, print, and automated channels. This role supports a consistent, student-centered communication approach that helps students understand requirements, take needed action, and feel confident navigating academic and financial processes. The coordinator contributes directly to improving the student experience at major points in the academic cycle, including registration, billing, aid awarding and verification, deadlines, graduation, and term transitions. The ideal candidate is an adaptable communicator who is comfortable working with technology platforms, managing multiple projects, and collaborating with campus partners.
