We are hiring an Operations Supervisor- Chemical Manufacturing for our Sacramento, California, plant. $32-$42 an hour

Requirements

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and troubleshooting skills
  • 5+ years of successful leadership experience in a chemical manufacturing or similar environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of chemical processes, equipment, and safety protocols.
  • Knowledge of hazardous chemicals and industry standards regarding good manufacturing processes and equipment.
  • Strong understanding of relevant safety and environmental regulations, including OSHA, DOT, EPA, TSCA, RCRA, standards.
  • Proficiency with standard ERP systems, process controls, and Microsoft Office products

Nice To Haves

  • Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing experience preferred.
  • HAZWOPER certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Drives continuous improvement with operational, safety, environmental, performance and quality metrics.
  • Works with local team to ensure that plant resources are being utilized to achieve objectives.
  • Direct supervision of production personnel.
  • Prioritizes tasks and assignments and deploying resources in alignment with production schedule
  • Ensures compliance of the site with corporate policies, federal regulations, and state regulations, including OSHA, DOT, EPA and local environmental agencies.
  • Leads and provides training to team members to develop a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Ensures data integrity through transactions and inventory control of raw materials and finished product.
  • Maintains cleanliness standards for facilities and equipment.
