Requirements

  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in LTL transportation operations.
  • Familiarity with LTL freight pricing, carrier rules tariffs, and density/class rating.
  • Experience managing load tender processes, rate sourcing, and carrier compliance.
  • Exposure to contract carrier onboarding and operational coordination.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, multi-customer logistics environment.
  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS); familiarity with MercuryGate is a plus but not required.
  • Proficiency with standard business software such as Microsoft Office.
  • Strong decision-making ability with confidence in operational judgment.
  • Proactive problem solver who can anticipate and resolve issues quickly.
  • Leadership presence with the ability to guide and delegate day-to-day operational tasks.
  • Collaborative and team-oriented mindset.
  • Organized and adaptable in a dynamic logistics environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior leadership or team coordination experience preferred.
  • Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS); familiarity with MercuryGate is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate daily POD operations, ensuring efficient execution of LTL shipments across multiple customer accounts.
  • Delegate responsibilities, provide guidance to team members, and maintain accountability for service performance.
  • Oversee the execution of LTL shipments including load tendering, rate sourcing, and carrier coordination.
  • Ensure adherence to carrier rules tariffs, density/class rating practices, and established service standards.
  • Act as a senior operational contact for assigned customer accounts.
  • Support issue resolution, proactively communicate shipment status, and ensure service expectations are consistently met in a fast-paced, multi-customer environment.
  • Monitor operational performance indicators including on-time delivery, dwell time, and carrier compliance.
  • Provide performance feedback, identify operational challenges, and implement improvements to enhance service quality and efficiency
  • Maintain and enforce standardized processes for booking, shipment tracking, documentation, SOP adherence, and exception management.
  • Collaborate with leadership to support initiatives that improve scalability and operational consistency.
