About The Position

The Operations Supervisor - Weekend Shift is responsible for overseeing and coordinating all operational activities during the weekend, ensuring efficient and safe warehouse operations, and contributing to the timely and accurate distribution of medical-surgical products. This role focuses on maintaining productivity, quality, and compliance standards within the distribution center.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Typically requires 3+ years of subject matter experience including exhibiting leadership capabilities.
3+ years of experience in a supervisory or lead role within a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.
Proven experience managing teams in a fast-paced operational setting, preferably with weekend shift responsibilities.
Strong understanding of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles.
Excellent leadership, communication (verbal and written), and interpersonal skills.
Ability to train, coach, and develop team members effectively.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Ability to operate various warehouse equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) and obtain necessary certifications.
Must be able to work consistently on weekend shifts (e.g., Friday-Sunday or Saturday-Monday).
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

Supervise, train, and motivate a team of warehouse associates during the weekend shifts, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
Plan, organize, and monitor daily operational tasks, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control, to meet performance metrics and customer service levels.
Ensure compliance with all company policies, safety regulations, and OSHA standards, promoting a culture of safety among team members.
Identify and resolve operational issues and bottlenecks, implementing corrective actions to maintain workflow and minimize disruptions.
Conduct performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and support the professional development of direct reports.
Collaborate with other supervisors and departments to optimize processes, share best practices, and achieve overall distribution center objectives.
Monitor inventory accuracy and assist in resolving discrepancies through cycle counting and investigation.
Prepare and present reports on shift performance, productivity, and key operational metrics to management.
Operate warehouse equipment as needed (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks) and ensure proper maintenance and safety checks are performed.
Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workspace.
