About The Position

As an Operations Supervisor at McKesson Corporation, you will be responsible for overseeing and directing the daily activities of our 2nd shift operations, ensuring efficient workflow, timely product distribution, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. You will lead a team of dedicated associates, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and adherence to company standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of supervisory experience in a distribution, warehouse, or logistics environment required.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop a team in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication, interpersonal, and coaching skills.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities with a focus on process improvement.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and a thorough understanding of warehouse safety procedures.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform other physical tasks associated with warehouse operations.
  • Must be able to work the designated 2nd shift schedule: Sunday, 5:00 PM; Monday – Thursday, 5:00 PM until 1:45 AM, and be flexible to work occasional overtime as needed.

  • Experience in a regulated industry (e.g., healthcare, pharmaceutical) is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and Lead: Directly supervise a team of warehouse associates, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Conduct daily team meetings to communicate objectives, safety protocols, and operational updates.
  • Operational Oversight: Manage and coordinate all inbound and outbound logistics activities during the 2nd shift, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory control.
  • Performance Management: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, accuracy, and safety metrics. Implement corrective actions and develop improvement plans to meet or exceed operational goals.
  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all company safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements (OSHA, FDA, etc.). Conduct regular safety audits and address any potential hazards promptly.
  • Resource Allocation: Optimize staffing levels and equipment utilization to maximize efficiency and achieve daily production targets.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve operational issues, bottlenecks, and discrepancies in a timely and effective manner.
  • Training and Development: Train new hires and provide ongoing development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and career growth.
  • Communication: Maintain open and effective communication with management, other shifts, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of operational activities, associate performance, and safety incidents.
  • Continuous Improvement: Actively participate in and promote lean initiatives and process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
