About The Position

Travel with crews to job sites as a non-working operations support manager, ensuring lift plans are followed and customer expectations are met. Participate in project handoff meetings to review engineered drawings, schedules, and communicate field performance expectations. Coordinate with internal teams to identify equipment needs, perform inspections, develop load-out lists, and arrange trucking. Support Operations in monitoring and training for company safety programs, evaluating hazards and managing risks throughout job tasks. Attend customer meetings, site meetings, and internal job reviews to promote continuous improvement. Assist with recruiting, training, and evaluating crew members in collaboration with management. Support safe and efficient yard operations, including equipment storage, organization, and compliance with Barnhart SOPs. Support dispatch, equipment load-outs, and third-party deliveries to the branch. Coordinate with Project Managers and Field Leaders to ensure equipment availability and request OTR permits from state and local DOTs as needed. Embrace and promote Barnhart’s culture at the branch. Ability to travel as required to meet business objectives, including extended stays when necessary.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of industry experience.
  • Proven ability to coordinate equipment logistics, and support coordination of job site operations.
  • Strong understanding of lift plans, rigging principles, and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineered drawings and project schedules.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and ability to learn industry-specific software for scheduling, equipment tracking, and project documentation.
  • Familiarity with DOT regulations and permitting processes.
  • Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Willingness and ability to travel as required to meet business objectives, including extended stays when necessary.
