Requirements

  • Electrical / Electrical‑Electronic trade certification.
  • 2–3 years of manufacturing experience (automotive preferred).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills with PLCs, speed controls, CNC controls, and automation equipment.
  • Experience with powder metal presses, grinding, and sintering equipment is ideal.
  • Self‑motivated, independent problem solver.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of pneumatics, stamping presses (40–500 ton), grinding processes, and heat‑treat operations.
  • Experience with cranes, lift trucks, hoists, and material‑handling devices.
  • Strong ability to interpret engineering schematics and O&M manuals.

Responsibilities

  • Repair, install, maintain, and test industrial electrical equipment and controls (motors, transformers, wiring, switches, alarms, etc.).
  • Install, calibrate, operate, and maintain PLCs for manufacturing equipment.
  • Diagnose electrical malfunctions and perform required repairs.
  • Develop and execute preventative maintenance programs and maintain records.
  • Test equipment for safety and efficiency, inspect circuits for proper shielding and grounding.
  • Perform major motor repairs or rewinds when required.
  • Prepare purchase orders or requisitions for electrical components.
  • Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety standards, and JE Quality (IATF 16949 / ISO 14001).
  • Adhere to Johnson Electric policies and perform other duties as assigned.
