The Operations technician is responsible for conducting multiple daily activities related to plant operations which could include distillation, liquid transfers, fixed bed reactors, boilers, hot oil heaters and other related processes and equipment.

Requirements

  • High School or Equivalent Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
  • Ability to compile, read, and compute, and interpret data
  • Basic computer skills and a comfort level in working with computers are necessary
  • Self-motivated and ability to work well with others
  • Candidate must be able to pass the pre-employment test
  • Able to obtain TWIC Card and pass background check.
  • New hires will also be evaluated under a 30/60/90 day probationary period
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license

Nice To Haves

  • General Plant experience Preferred
  • Manufacturing experience is a plus Preferred
  • Prior Military (with Honorable Discharge) is a plus
  • Process Technology degree

Responsibilities

  • Trouble shooting plant operations when actual operations does not meet the expected outcome.
  • Monitor process conditions, equipment and control systems.
  • Perform minor maintenance repairs on-shift including commissioning and decommissioning on all types of process and mechanical equipment.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office software, Honeywell's Experion process control system and other computer software such as LIMS.
  • Provide performance feedback to team members.
  • Assure standards of safety, environmental, team and individual performance are met in a high performance team-based organization.
  • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned, including but not limited to continuously growing in alignment with the Company’s core values, competencies, and skills.
