Recycling Waste Material Handler - Maintenance (Operator Forklift - High Reach) 1st Shift (8am-4pm) Summary of Position Position Purpose: Support Facility and Sustainability operations processing waste streams within the facility such as but not limited to: Corrugate (Boxes and shrink film cores), Shrink or plastic film, PET or Bottles, Metal (Cans, baling wire and others) and disposal of Waste. This will be accomplished by collecting and emptying recycling and waste bins into Balers, Compactors and other means of processing. Additionally during Peak times this position may be required to support Shipping efforts as needed.

Requirements

Ability to work unsupervised the majority of the time
Ability to understand and follow directions
Ability to operate Powered Industrial Equipment, and other powered equipment as required
Ability to read and understand instructions on equipment operation and job duties
Ability to use a Computer or other Terminals as needed for the job
High School Diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

Forklift or other powered industrial equipment preferred
Computer or Wireless terminal experience preferred

Responsibilities

Operating powered industrial equipment: EJP (walkie rider), RC (Standup Forklift), RC with Clamp attachment, SC / FC (Sit Down Forklift), Tugger, Various Manlifts (Scissor Lift, Boom Lift and WAV)
Operating Horizontal and Vertical balers to also include tying bales and bale removal.
Operating Trash Compactor
Operating Dock equipment: Dock doors, Dock Locks (Trailer Restraints), Dock Levelers or Dock Plates and Dock Hydraulic Lifts located at Dock 1 and 40.
Operating Forklifts outside to empty bins in open top dumpsters, or to empty bins located outside.
Completing documentation associated with the job: Recycling tracking, Trailer Inspection logs, PIT Preshift inspection forms and others as needed.
WM / PKMS – Log on and off of Warehouse Management System using truck mounted terminal, hand or wrist mobile terminals. Perform functions associated with the task.
Pick up pallets or cases and move to appropriate location as directed by WM or Supervisor, and locate the pallets / cases to the new location.
Ability to load trailers / containers and locate the pallets or cases to the appropriate location in WM.
Ability to unload trailers / containers and locate the pallets or cases to the appropriate location in WM.
Ability to load pallets / cases into racking for storage and locate them to the appropriate location in WM.
Ability to remove pallets / cases from racking and locate them to the appropriate location in WM.
Ability to remove pallets from conveyor locations and load pallets to conveyor locations while also locating them to the appropriate location in WM.
