About The Position

The Operator II, Manufacturing position is responsible for all tasks associated with the operation, inspecting and packaging of finished goods, including but not limited to; performing all required quality checks to include visual inspection of parts for defects (fill levels, packaging and others); completing production operations work orders accurately to include filling, capping, labeling, packaging and cleaning. The Operator II, Manufacturing will also be responsible for performing equipment set-up and change over, basic preventative maintenance, cleaning of equipment, work area and facility while complying with all safety and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Ability to lift, push, and/or pull up to 50 pounds required
  • Experience using basic computer systems for data entry, log-in/log-out, and navigation of production or quality systems required
  • Experience performing basic mathematical calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division required
  • Ability to read, write, and understand English to complete required documentation and follow work instructions required
  • Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection, as needed required
  • Ability to work assigned shifts, including overtime, based on business and production needs required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in chemical manufacturing, production, or regulated environments preferred
  • Experience following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, or batch records in a manufacturing or laboratory setting preferred
  • Experience performing production tasks such as filling, capping, labeling, packaging, or equipment operation preferred
  • Experience documenting production or quality activities using paper-based or electronic systems preferred

Responsibilities

  • Applies Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) principles in all areas of responsibility
  • Provide support to meet department and company objectives
  • Participate in Practical Process Improvement (PPI), 5S, and other continuous improvement and lean projects
  • Comply with safety and regulatory regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Wear proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required
  • Exercise proper lifting, bending, and twisting techniques
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and clean work area
  • Conduct all activities in a safe and efficient manner
  • Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE), including respiratory protection, in accordance with safety procedures
  • Complete required documentation accurately for production, quality, and operational records
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), work instructions, and training guidelines to perform assigned tasks
  • Complete required job-related training and apply the training to daily production and operational activities
