Requirements
- 3 years of experience in an Assistant Superintendent, supervisory, or high-level leadership role working in heavy industrial or civil construction with in-depth knowledge of processes, materials, and equipment especially in wet infrastructure and utilities
- 5 years of experience operating heavy construction equipment and performing excavation and earthmoving work
- Demonstrated proficiency in GPS knowledge, including machine control, layout, etc.
- All candidates must either be current members of a local union or be willing to join one upon hire.
- Must be currently living in the Greater St. Louis area.

Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage day-to-day on-site construction activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budget
- Ensure all company protocols and excavation regulations are followed
- Operate equipment proficiently in a safe and efficient manner, while producing high quality work and meeting production goals.
- Enforce safety and quality control procedures.
- Collaborate and build relationships with subcontractors, vendors, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution
- Keep all parties updated on project progress and concerns
- Manage equipment needs, repairs, and maintenance
- Ensure equipment is safely and securely stored when not in use.
- Resolve any on-site issues promptly, making decisions that align with project objectives and company policies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of project activities, including daily reports, progress photos, and any relevant documentation
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and other legal requirements
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify and resolve issues, manage quality control, and ensure work is progressing as planned
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports and change orders
- Manage the on-site company workforce to ensure proper training, compliance with company policies and procedures, and give ongoing performance feedback
