Ophthalmic Technician – Refractive Services Northwest Eyes | Northwest Washington Pay: $20–$29/hr + full benefits Join a Leading Refractive & Surgical Eye Care Practice Northwest Eyes, a nationally recognized ophthalmic medical and surgical practice, is hiring an Ophthalmic Technician with refractive experience to join our growing refractive services team. This is an excellent opportunity for technicians who enjoy advanced diagnostics, LASIK and premium IOL evaluations, and working closely with surgeons in a high-volume, technology-driven practice. Requirements

  • 1+ year ophthalmic technician/assistant experience preferred
  • Refractive or surgical ophthalmology experience strongly preferred
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills
  • Detail-oriented and patient-focused
  • Comfortable with EMRs and basic computer software

Nice To Haves

  • COA or COT certification is a plus
  • Experience with some or all of the following preferred: Auto Refractor, Retinoscope, Phoropter, Slit Lamp Pentacam / Corneal Topography WaveScan IOL Master / Lenstar Humphrey Visual Field Pachymetry & Tonometry Zeiss & Heidelberg OCT Stereopsis, Worth 4-Dot, Van Herick, EOM testing

Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive refractive workups and diagnostics
  • Document exam findings, assessments, and treatment plans
  • Obtain detailed medical and ocular histories
  • Educate patients on refractive procedures and expectations
  • Assist with in-office procedures and surgical preparation
  • Administer ophthalmic medications per protocol
  • Support contact lens evaluation and insertion/removal
  • Maintain efficient clinic flow and patient experience
  • Triage patient calls and maintain equipment sterilization
  • Uphold HIPAA and professional standards
