About The Position

Golden Plains Community Hospital invites an Ophthalmologist to join our dedicated team. Enjoy a balanced Monday through Friday schedule, 8 am to 5 pm, in Borger, just 52 miles from Amarillo. Requirements

• Medical Degree (MD/DO).
• Active license to practice medicine in the state of Texas.
• Board certified or actively pursuing board certification.
• Knowledge of, or experience with, OCT, corneal topography, and visual field testing.
• Strong microsurgical skills for delicate eye surgeries.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams, diagnose diseases, and treat eye injuries.
• Perform surgical procedures, including cataract surgery, laser surgery, and corneal repairs.
• Prescribe medication, eyeglasses, and contact lenses, and provide post-operative care.
• Maintain detailed electronic health records (EHR), assist with coding/billing, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• May focus on subspecialties such as retina, glaucoma, or oculoplastic.
