The Division of Habitat & Species Conservation is comprised of six Sections and two offices. This position works within the Wildlife Diversity Conservation Section of the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s Division of Habitat and Species Conservation. This position will be based in Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission’s (FWC) South Region (Collier County). The person hired in this position will work with biologists in the Wildlife Diversity Conservation Section to assist with the duties described above. Work for this position will be largely conducted at Critical Wildlife Areas (http://myfwc.com/conservation/terrestrial/cwa/) and other important beach and rooftop nesting sites in Collier County. As this is a near-exclusive field-oriented position, no office space will be provided. Candidate must have access to a computer for purposes of data entry and communications. Housing, limited mileage reimbursement, or a state vehicle may be provided. Limited administrative support will be provided from the West Palm Beach Office of the FWC. Work for this position will begin in mid-April and last through August.
