About The Position

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Operations Program Manager & Master Scheduler to lead cross-functional execution and drive production scheduling within our rapidly growing defense manufacturing start-up. This role plays a critical part in ensuring manufacturing readiness, on-time delivery, resource coordination, and operational planning for small turbine engine production programs, including development, low-rate initial production (LRIP), and full-rate manufacturing.

The ideal candidate will have experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing, strong leadership in program execution, and expertise in master scheduling, material flow, and production control.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in aerospace or defense manufacturing, with direct experience in program execution and production scheduling
• Prior exposure to development, LRIP, and full-rate production transitions
• Knowledge of Earned Value Management (EVM) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS)
• APICS/CPIM certification
• Proficiency in MRP/ERP systems (e.g., Deltek Costpoint, SAP, Oracle) and scheduling tools (MS Project, Primavera, etc.)
• Understanding of manufacturing planning principles (MRP, MPS, capacity planning)
• Familiarity with DoD manufacturing programs and requirements (DFARS, ITAR, DCMA standards)
• Demonstrated success in a fast-paced, hands-on manufacturing environment
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations and program execution for assigned turbine engine production lines and development builds
• Act as the liaison between operations, engineering, supply chain, and quality to ensure program objectives are met
• Track program status, resource availability, build progress, and performance metrics (cost, schedule, yield)
• Develop and maintain integrated program execution plans aligned with contractual deliverables and customer milestones
• Lead operational readiness reviews, risk assessments, and corrective action plans
• Maintain accurate scheduling data in ERP/MRP systems and ensure alignment with the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS)
• Work closely with planning, manufacturing, engineering, quality, and program management to ensure timely build execution and issue resolution
• Support program status reporting and Earned Value Management (EVM)
• Lead initiatives to improve schedule accuracy, production flow, and planning processes
• Implement scheduling best practices to reduce lead time, improve throughput, and optimize inventory
