We are seeking a dedicated Optician/Optometric Technician for a Full-Time role in our optometry clinic. As a member of the Optometry team, you will assist and support providers in delivering exceptional patient care. This role includes both front and back office responsibilities and plays a vital part in ensuring smooth clinic operations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must pass Occupational Health Screening
Nice To Haves
- Optical Laboratory Technician Certificate preferred
- Current CPR certification preferred
- Experience in a medical setting preferred
Responsibilities
- Escort patients and record vital signs
- Clean and prepare exam rooms
- Maintain equipment and infection control standards
- Assist patients in selecting frames and preparing optical lab orders
- Perform administrative tasks including inventory, insurance processing, and recordkeeping
- Support reception duties such as patient registration and appointment scheduling
- Participate in quality assurance activities and emergency supply checks
- Train new staff and comply with all MACT policies
