About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Optometric Technician to provide temporary coverage for our busy practice. This assignment will last for 13 weeks, with the possibility of extension beyond the initial term. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Optometric Technician or similar role required
• Knowledge of optometric/ophthalmic equipment and procedures
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Flexibility to adapt to a temporary assignment

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-testing procedures and collect patient health histories
• Assist optometrists during eye exams and procedures
• Operate and maintain ophthalmic/optometric equipment
• Educate patients about eye care, contact lens use, and eyewear
• Manage patient flow and support daily office functions
• Ensure accuracy in patient records and documentation
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment
