Our Tampa team is growing, and we’re looking for an experienced part time Oral Surgery Dental Assistant who’s passionate about providing excellent patient care and supporting life-changing surgical procedures. As an Oral Surgery Dental Assistant, you’ll work closely with our Oral Surgeon and clinical team to deliver an exceptional experience before, during, and after surgical procedures. You’ll ensure patients feel comfortable and confident while maintaining a safe, efficient, and compliant surgical environment.

Requirements

EFDA
Valid Radiography (X-ray) Certification
Current CPR/BLS Certification

Responsibilities

Prepare and set up the operatory for oral surgery procedures (extractions, implants, bone grafts, biopsies, etc.)
Assist the oral surgeon chairside with suctioning, passing instruments, and anticipating procedural needs
Monitor patient vitals and support sedation or anesthesia protocols as needed
Provide detailed post-operative instructions and ensure patients understand follow-up care
Take and process digital X-rays and imaging required for surgical planning
Maintain proper sterilization, infection control, and OSHA/HIPAA compliance
Manage and order surgical supplies and maintain operatory organization
Accurately chart procedures, treatment notes, and patient history in the dental software
Collaborate with front office and clinical teams to ensure seamless patient care and scheduling
