Our Sterile Processing Technicians take pride in their work because they know it plays an important role in patient safety, and every patient is someone’s loved one on the table. Safe procedures start with clean instruments. Our Sterile Processing Technicians work behind the scenes of healthcare facilities in a fast-paced environment, impacting patient safety without being patient facing. When healthcare facilities need the help of product experts, they call us because they know our Technicians are continuously trained on industry best practices. The hours set for this position are from 2:30pm to 11:00pm Monday through Friday

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a Sterile Processing/Surgical Technologist program preferred.
  • 1 year of SPD or relatable experience (such as surgical or GI technician experience) and CRCST/CSPDT,or CST certification is required OR CER/CFER if dedicated assignment in Endo processing
  • OR 2 years of SPD or relatable experience (such as surgical or GI technician experience), obtaining within 12 months of hire CRCST/CSPDT or CST certification is required OR CER/CFER if dedicated assignment in Endo processing
  • Must maintain certification by completing 12 Continuing Education Credit Hours annually
  • Demonstrated proficiency with most trays and the ability to perform all SPD responsibilities without close supervision.
  • Able to perform all job requirements of a Technician I.

Responsibilities

  • Reprocess surgical trays post-surgery; ensuring they are decontaminated, cleaned, inspected, sterilized, correctly assembled within a timely manner and ready for the next case
  • Operate sterile processing washers, sterilizers, ultrasonic and drying cabinets
  • Participate in regular on-site training
