About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated Order Fulfillment Operations Supervisor to join our team. In this position, you will assist in managing the daily employees, and activities of a high volume distribution facility, including but not limited to: order picking, order packing and order shipping of different product lines. These product lines are medical in nature with critical oversight needed to fulfill orders accurately along with completing all orders daily.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent, required
  • Effectively communicate in English; both oral and written
  • Interpret a variety of communications (verbal, non-verbal, written, listening and visual)
  • Maintain confidentiality, discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
  • Multi-task along with attention to detail
  • Self-motivation, organized, time-management and deductive problem solving skills
  • Work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to extract and manipulate large data files across multiple databases
  • Company inventory management systems, company warehouse management and data systems and other such programs
  • Email transmission and communication
  • Internet navigation and research
  • Learn company information systems and locations of key database files within inventory, shipping, etc.
  • Microsoft applications; Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Office equipment; fax machine, copier, printer, phone and computer and/or tablet
  • Clearly read small print on forms, product labels and handhelds
  • Lift and carry office equipment and individual boxes
  • Occasional Night and/or Weekend work
  • Requires close vision to small print on computer and/or tablet and paperwork
  • Requires sitting, walking, standing, talking and listening
  • Walking and working on one’s feet for extended periods of time
  • Background check (company-wide)
  • Drug screen (when applicable for the position)
  • Compliance with healthcare facility credentialing process (when applicable for the position)
  • Valid driver’s license in state of residence with a clean driving record (when applicable for the position)

Nice To Haves

  • College degree preferred
  • Two years in a leadership position within fulfillment and/or warehouse operations
  • Experience with ERP, MRP and WMS Systems
  • Experience with medical equipment, preferred
  • Medical terminology, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Aids in the development and execution of various daily, weekly and monthly reports
  • Assist in the development and implementation of business process initiatives to optimize departmental operations in accordance with overall business objectives
  • Assists in the hiring, on-boarding training and managing performance of warehouse staff
  • Assists in training plans for immediate and long-term performance improvements and growth opportunities
  • Daily management of employees within the Warehouse
  • Embodies safety training and reporting for Murray operation
  • Ensure orders are filled accurately and shipped timely
  • Ensures associates are practicing safe work habits, ensuring a safe work environment
  • Identifies continuous improvements for more effective and efficient operations
  • Manages all Team Leads and Direct Reports within their department
  • Manages high volume picking, packing and shipping for multiple product lines
  • Manages the daily activities of large centralized distribution center
  • Must be able to occasionally work weekends and after-hours during peak times (this is non-typical)
  • Occasional Night and/or Weekend work
  • Participate in cross training and continuous skill development
  • Participates in preparation for compliance audits
  • Prevents product damage and shrinkage, accidents, and occupational hazards
  • Provides clear direction and general guidance to the department in the formulation and implementation of procedures and ensures that these are translated and enforced into action to meet operational goals
  • Provides senior level project management support as needed
  • Special projects as needed
  • Performs other duties as assigned
