About The Position

The Order Puller Lead ensures the goals of the department and facility are completed in a safe and efficient manner, by coaching the Order Pullers to safely operate all AFW equipment, and ensure that orders are efficiently and safely being processed for our customers and departments. The Order Puller Lead will also monitor production, merchandise storage bins, and equipment to ensure everything is up to AFW standards and make corrections as needed. The Order Puller Lead will also coordinate and work effectively with multiple departments to continuously improve processes, maximize efficiency, and exceed customer service expectations.

Requirements

Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies including but not limited to Storis, iPad, Excel, Word, etc.
Efficiently use the AWM Scheduler to assign Order Pullers to complete department and facility goals.
Have a flexible schedule and work all shifts, holidays, and weekends.
Knowledge of personal protective equipment (PPE) and the ability to safely use personal protective equipment (PPE).
Ability to read, understand and follow oral and written instructions accurately.
Commitment to AFW’s safety policies and procedures and ability to promote safety awareness.
Requires the ability to maneuver in confined and at times congested areas.
Requires the ability to stand, walk, stoop, & bend for 8 hours or more daily.
Requires constant use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back.
Requires lift, lower, push, and pull all sizes of merchandise up to 100 lbs.
The Order Puller Lead position requires lifting, gripping, bending, kneeling, stooping, and moving merchandise 8 hours or more daily.
A pre-employment drug screen and pre-employment background check must be passed upon the job offer.

Coaching Order Pullers
Safely operate all AFW equipment
Ensure orders are efficiently and safely being processed
Monitor production, merchandise storage bins, and equipment
Coordinate and work effectively with multiple departments
Continuously improve processes
Maximize efficiency
Exceed customer service expectations
Appraises employee performance communicates goals and expectations, provides honest feedback, and coaches team members.
Provides continual training to team members with an emphasis on safety and service.
Coach employees on how to perform the correct furniture handling and loading techniques.
Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
Communicates, leads, and develops teamwork within the Order Puller Department.
Ensure the correct paperwork/forms are filled out correctly.
Identifying and reading reports, tickets, and UPC labels.
Operate material handling equipment to move products within the warehouse and load Order Pullers with the merchandise.
Able to operate a radio frequency (RF) scanner.
Able to correctly use a hand truck.
Ability to efficiently work independently under direct supervision.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Work as a team member by interacting and communicating with fellow associates in a cooperative, constructive manner.
