About The Position

This is a full time, exempt position, scheduled at 80 hours bi-weekly. Astera Health offers a comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, life and retirement. Responsibilities include: Assesses training effectiveness and makes recommendations for improvements. Designs, implements, and builds curriculum. Evaluates programming to meet the needs of clinical and non-clinical staff. Analyzes training and development metrics to track performance improvements and training effectiveness. Provides support and coaching to staff on professional development and career advancement. Develops and implements leadership training programs to cultivate effective leaders at all levels. Identifies and mentors high-potential employees to prepare them for leadership roles. Collaborates with clinical directors and department heads to create and maintain robust education programs specific to clinical practices and non-clinical functions. Tracks employee education and ensures compliance with regulatory training requirements and accreditation standards. Manages the new employee orientation and CVX programming for the organization. Prepares and presents reports on training initiatives, outcomes, and organizational development strategies to senior leadership. Manages Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other training tools. Works closely with HR to align talent management strategies and career laddering with training and development goals. Partners with external education providers and vendors as needed to enhance educational offerings. Develops and manages the organizational development departmental annual budget. Directly supervises and provides leadership, mentoring, and guidance to organizational development department employees. Supports the mission and positively exhibits the values of Astera Health through personal conduct and behaviors. Performs other duties as required or assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, organizational development, education, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of experience in organizational development, training, or education within a healthcare setting.
  • Equivalent education and experience is acceptable.
  • Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
  • Experience with leadership development and performance management systems.
  • Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other training tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, direct reports, providers, vendors, and community partners.
